About the Artist

Floral Beauty

Art and the creation of art has been a life-long passion. As much enjoyment as I get from creating art, I like to share that passion with others.

Graduating with a degree in Art Education enabled me to teach and share my passion with others which I did in the public school system for over 20 years. With this background in education, I am continuing to offer classes and lessons in my studio at the JL Ranch in Powell Butte, Oregon. I truly enjoy sharing the joy of creativity with others.

River Run

Having left public education, I am able to pursue my love of watercolor paintings on a daily basis. The spontaneity and freshness of this transparent medium is the aspect that most appeals to me. My subject matter is diverse but the underlying theme is to capture the moment in a loose, spontaneous technique and approach. Living on a small ranch, I am surrounded by some of the animals that show up in my paintings. These paintings are a joy to create.

My work has been displayed and sold in the following galleries: Inspirations (Madras), Ambiance (Redmond), Falcon Crest (Redmond), Bunkhouse Studio (Prineville), Wild River (Bend), Red Chair Gallery, (Bend), and The Dalles Art Center, Artisans in Cedar City, Utah, and Hood Ave Art Gallery in Sisters, Oregon. I have been juried into the Redmond Airport Show since the beginning, having received Best of Show several years ago. DDFA located in England represents me and markets my images worldwide. FineArt America also markets my work. Currently, I am a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon and have been for over 10 years.
